Meetnet @IMDC

Meetnet is at the core of Synapps, managing and homogenizing all data sources in your network, both offline and in real-time. It features tools for automatic and manual data validation, and an alert system with email notifications based on threshold exceedances. Its intuitive graphical user interface makes it easy to use. Meetnet also includes a mobile app for registering manual field measurements, suitable for independent time series or control measurements of IoT sensors.

Network of sensors in the city of Antwerp

The city of Antwerp has partnered with IMDC to expand its measurement network and implement a cloud-based monitoring platform to support the city's climate adaptation policy. IMDC’s Monitoring team has installed and is maintaining a new set of sensors across the city, including 8 pluviometers, 3 surface water level meters, 1 groundwater level meter, and 1 flow meter, which have been added to the city’s already extensive network of sensors..

All these sensors, both old and new, have been integrated into the Synapps platform for enhanced data integration, monitoring, and visualization. The capabilities of the Meetnet module are crucial for providing a robust data validation framework and setting up necessary alarms and notifications for users, ensuring that the city of Antwerp remains in control of its network 24/7.

Currently, Synapps/Meetnet is processing and monitoring about 70 automatic sensors of various types and approximately 480 locations (both active and historical) of manual groundwater level measurements. This extended network includes sensors and data from several sources and providers, including Waterinfo, iFlux, KNMI-WOW, and of course, IMDC.
