IMDC is an international engineering and consultancy company in the field of natural waters: precipitation, groundwater, rivers, estuaries, coastal areas, ports and marine waters. It employs over 100 specialists and is based in Antwerp, Belgium.

All contracts and projects, whether financed publicly, privately or from research budgets, contribute to the consolidation of our data and knowledge base. Seas, estuaries, and rivers are crucial for society, providing fresh water, transport, and blue energy. They support densely populated areas but face increasing risks from climate change, sea level rise, extreme weather, and population growth. "It’s with great pleasure that I take up role as CEO of IMDC since August 2024. Together with the development of my career at IMDC, I have seen the company changing and developing as well over the years, along with the technological and societal changes outside our company. What has not changed the last decade though, is the critical mindset and open-minded culture of our experts. By listening and sometimes also challenging our clients, we get a thorough understanding of their needs, so we can propose the most appropriate solutions. This is one of the success factors of IMDC to develop sustainable and innovative water and environmental solutions, and to contribute as such to a more resilient world. I’ll be seeking to further develop IMDC, respecting its values, culture and innovative spirit. Really looking forward to make the most of it, together with the entire IMDC team. "
