Piet Haerens decided to leave IMDC. During 12 years, Piet has contributed massively to the success of IMDC with his inspiring vision, his strong interest in the academic world and his research & development initiatives. During the last 2 years, Piet took over the management of IMDC, setting up the steps for a new phase of IMDC’s development, defining a strategy and implementing structural changes in the context of integration in Tractebel.

We want to thank Piet for his highly valuable input to the development of the company and his dedication towards progress and excellence. We wish Piet the best for his new challenges and look forward to further collaborate with him on water related projects in the future. Pierre Van Den Eynde was appointed CEO of IMDC to succeed to Piet.

Pierre is a Rural Engineer from UCL and has an MSc in Aquatic Resource Management from King’s College. After 20 years of water and road related project implementation in Africa and Asia, Pierre has been in the Management of consulting & engineering companies from Europe for the last 8 years.

“It is an honour for me to be able to support the team in its great achievements and to give the context and empowerment to its people for growth and further development of excellence. I’m grateful to Piet (and his predecessor Jos Smits) for having led the company to the renowned partner it is today and I’m happy to push it even further with a strong and highly motivated team who are great to work for”.
