Job description
As a Marine Consultant Subsea Cables and Pipelines, you will work throughout all phases of subsea cable and pipeline projects (for offshore windfarms, offshore transmission infrastructure, blue energy, offshore installation works), from conceptual and feasibility phase through conceptual and detailed design, installation, O&M, until decommissioning phase..
Your workload entails a range of strategic tasks, such as feasibility studies, site characterisation towards Design Basis, cable and pipeline routing analyses, landfall design, cable and pipeline installation methodologies, cable burial risk assessment, crossing strategy, definition of transport & installation risks, HAZID, , free-span analysis, , writing employer requirements for subsea cable EPCI tenders, definition of O&M and decommissioning plans.
You will be part of the Blue Energy team of IMDC and you will work in close collaboration with the other teams of IMDC (Coast & Estuaries, Digital Water Solutions, Water Resources Management, Marine, Dredging & Port Engineering, Water Computing & Monitoring).
You will manage projects as well as expertise tasks in your domain.
You constantly increase your knowledge throughout projects, through contacts with project developers, via realisation of research & development projects, and by joining conferences.
