IMDC is an international consultancy providing advice upon the development and management of water related projects in the offshore, marine, coastal and river environment. IMDC provides services to the renewable (offshore wind, wave and tidal energy), power generation (nuclear, gas), transmission infrastructure, navigation, integrated water risk management, ports & harbours, environmental and public sector markets (flood risks, coastal protection).
To strengthen our Hydroinformatics & Measurements team we are looking for a junior full stack web developer. We are looking for a dynamic person with an innovative mindset, who’s able to work as part of a project team, but can also work independently, is not afraid of taking initiative and wants to stay on top of new trends and technologies. You will be able to work on different projects, both national and international, and be in contact with many different technical aspects of our consultancy business. Work examples are the setup of complex backends to store model results and schedule forecasting simulations, in addition creating dynamic visualizations and reports of the model results.
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science with a keen interest in programming.
Backend skills: we develop primarily in Python and NodeJS. Knowledge of Docker and different database technologies is considered an asset.
Frontend skills: we work with VueJS. Knowledge of Angular or React is welcomed, as well as experience with web mapping libraries (LeafletJS).
Proficiency in one or more technologies is considered an asset: Geoserver, AWS, Git, Java.
Strong analytical skills, creative in problem-solving.
