Full Stack Web Developer (ref. 108)

IMDC is an international consultancy providing advice upon the development and management of water related projects in the offshore, marine, coastal and river environment. IMDC provides services to the renewable (offshore wind, wave and tidal energy), power generation (nuclear, gas), transmission infrastructure, navigation, integrated water risk management, ports & harbours, environmental and public sector markets (flood risks, coastal protection).

To strengthen our Digital Water Solutions team we are looking for a full stack software developer, a dynamic person with an innovative mindset, who’s able to work both as part of a project team and independently, and wants to stay on top of new trends and technologies. You will be able to work on different projects, both national and international, and be in contact with many different technical aspects of our consultancy business. Work examples are the setup of complex backends to store model results and schedule forecasting simulations, creating web applications to visualize flood risk maps or design and develop complete water management applications.

You profile

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Software Development or Computer Science. 
  • You have experience working on different parts of software projects, where you contributed to both backend and frontend parts.
  • You have experience with/knowledge of several items in our technology stack:
    • Our backend applications are primarily developed using Python & Django, using Postgresql db;
    • For frontend, we use Vue.js, NodeJS. Knowledge of Angular, React is welcomed; 
    • We extensively use GIS & timeseries data. Experience with web mapping libraries (LeafletJS). 
  • Next to these, experience or knowledge in the following areas is considered a plus: 
    • Git, Rancher, Docker, Cloud computing, MachineLearning, Security, Geoserver, AWS, …
